Mythos of Raya and the Last Dragon and the Mirroring of consciousness
🐉✨ Raya and the Last Dragon: A Reflection on Trust, Unity & the Healing of Earth
There are stories that carry more than entertainment — they are mirrors of our collective heart. Raya and the Last Dragon is one such story. Beneath its bright colors and enchanting animation lies a mythos of deep relevance for our time.
In the film, a fractured land has fallen into despair because trust has been broken. The land was once a unified body of a dragon until communities isolate, hearts harden, fear spreads, trust dissapears. From this division, a spirit is born — the Druun — a consuming shadow that feeds on the very separation that created it. The more humans fight, divide, and close their hearts, the stronger it becomes.
✨ This is more than fantasy. It is truth wrapped in story. We, too, live in a time where shadows grow from our divisions. When we turn against one another, when we abandon trust, we unknowingly feed the very forces that dim our collective light.
Yet, at the center of the story is the seed of healing: trust. Raya’s journey teaches us that when trust is withheld, wholeness cannot return. But when trust is given, even in the face of fear, something miraculous happens — the poison of separation dissolves, and life begins to bloom again.
The dragon, Sisu, embodies the spirit of faith — playful, humble, innocent, radiant — teaching that trust is not naïve but transformative. Through trust, the shadow loses its power, and the flow of life returns.
🌿 In my own work with Etheric Touch, I see this mirrored in the body. Trauma and defense create fractured places inside of us — the “Druun” within — where light is consumed by pain and mistrust. Client’s feel their bodies as not whole physically and truly separated pieces. Yet when the body is met with gentleness, safety, and trust, it opens. Frozen places thaw. Life-force unites. Wholeness returns.
Just as Raya’s land bloomed again when trust was restored, so too can we — in body, in community, and on Earth. Every act of trust is a refusal to feed the shadow. . Every act of courage in the face of adversary. Every moment we lean into to softness through being betrayed. Every act of openness is an offering of light back to the whole.
💎 The teaching is simple, and yet radical:
Distrust creates the shadow. Trust dissolves it. Wholeness is restored when we remember that life itself is woven from unity.
Forgiveness and trust is the only way to create the beginning to healing. It is scary because the wounds are deep, but as Rumi once said, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.
May we be like Raya — guardians of trust. May we embody the dragon’s faith. And may we have the courage to no longer feed what divides us, but to choose the medicine that unites. May we all come together with what is beautiful in diversity and come to know that is what brings more flavor in life instead of separation. 🐉✨
